COCOA BEACH — Gone are the days of compromising where to eat, there’s something for everyone to enjoy at the newly opened Destination Downtown Food Hall.

The dining establishment, 2 North Atlantic Ave., Cocoa Beach, offers patrons seven restaurants to choose from and includes an outdoor bar – Mimi’s Mimosas & Bar. It’s a new concept brought to the Space Coast by OG Enterprises, and is a welcome addition that is giving small mom and pop restaurants a chance to succeed before venturing out into their own brick and mortar space.

The featured restaurants are Fowl Mouth, BB Rad’s, Vampire Penguin, Von Asia Kitchen, Troy Anatolian Kitchen, Ludz Seafood Express, and Manny’s Express. From barbeque and American classics to cultural cuisines with a Southern Caribbean and Mediterranean flair, there are plenty of mouthwatering options. And if you can’t leave without dessert, Vampire Penguin has got you covered with its light and airy shaved snow, which is just perfect to beat our Florida heat.

Patrons don’t have to wait in line either, they can place multiple orders from different restaurants all on one tab and have it ready in one pick up spot.

Located just next to the beach, Destination Downtown Food Hall is one of the only eating establishments with its own parking lot on Cocoa Beach. Parking is free for patrons who are dining in, and there’s a fee for those who wish to park and access the beach.

Plus, if you forgot something for the beach, just step inside! Destination Downtown Food Hall has a beach shop with flip flops, sunscreen and those other last-minute items you need to grab.

“It’s been so much hard work, I haven’t even got a chance to breathe and build my excitement,” said Oshri Gal, owner of OG Enterprises, “but there’s a sense of accomplishment, especially with the reactions we’re getting from people. They really like the concept, the venue, and the food.”

In the next week or two, Gal plans to launch Destination Downtown Food Hall’s own delivery service. Instead of ordering through mobile food apps to bring meals to your door, the food hall will be able to do the same out of its custom van, which will have its own refrigerator, freezer and heating appliances to make sure your food is delivered fresh.

If all goes well, Gal is excited to share that Phase Two of Destination Downtown Food Hall in Cocoa Beach would include setting up a second story, which would feature a rooftop bar, event space for rent, and a commercial kitchen so that events could be catered.

“As a kid I used to ride my bicycle on Minutemen Causeway, and I used to look at the Yen Yen or Bernard’s Surf and say one day I’d be able to own one of those corners,” Gal said. “I was blessed and able to acquire it during COVID, that spot was special to me. It was a place to bring back the prestige of downtown Cocoa Beach. I remember it being a happening place as a child, more so than it has in the past decade.”

Gal also has an eye for developing a second food hall in Cape Canaveral – one that would offer a more elevated dining experience than the one Cocoa Beach currently has to offer. But first, he hopes patrons get to know what the food hall is all about.

“We wanted to build a cohesive community environment where we all work together to achieve a single goal, which is to have people leave with smiles on their faces with extraordinary, amazing food at a really good price,” Gal said.
